Lejeunea hodgsoniana, a newly described, long recognised Lejeunea (Jungermanniopsida, Lejeuneaceae) from lowland coastal forest habitats in New Zealand

Lejeunea hodgsoniana Grolle ex R.J.Lewington, P.Beveridge & M.A.M.Renner sp. nov., A taxon originally recognised by Riclef Grolle in 1980, but not described, known from a number of coastal sites in the North Island, the northern extremity of the South Island, the Kermadec Islands, and the Chatham Islands of New Zealand, is described and illustrated. The species is distinctive amongst species of...

SDE in Random Population Growth

In this paper we extend the recent work of C.A. Braumann [1] to the case of stochastic differential equation with random coefficients. Furthermore, the relationship of the Itô-Stratonovich stochastic calculus to studies of random population growth is also explained.

lac Operator nucleosomes. 2. lac Nucleosomes can change conformation to strengthen binding by lac repressor.

We have shown previously that lac repressor binds specifically and quantitatively to lac operator restriction fragments which have been complexed with histones to form artificial nucleosomes (203 base pair restriction fragment) or core particles (144 base pair restriction fragment. We describe here a quantitative method for determining the equilibrium binding affinities of repressor for these l...

Weak Approximation of a Fractional Sde

Abstract. In this note, a diffusion approximation result is shown for stochastic differential equations driven by a (Liouville) fractional Brownian motion B with Hurst parameter H ∈ (1/3, 1/2). More precisely, we resort to the Kac-Stroock type approximation using a Poisson process studied in [4, 7], and our method of proof relies on the algebraic integration theory introduced by Gubinelli in [13].

SDE Based Regression for Linear Random PDEs

A simulation based method for the numerical solution of PDEs with random coefficients is presented. By the Feynman-Kac formula, the solution can be represented as conditional expectation of a functional of a corresponding stochastic differential equation driven by independent noise. A time discretization of the SDE for a set of points in the domain and a subsequent Monte Carlo regression lead t...
